Subscribing to RSS

Subscribing to an RSS feed of the Option Matters blog is a simple way of knowing when new items have been posted to the blog. On Option Matters, you have two feed options:

  • “Entries RSS” will subscribe you to all new blog entries posted by MX.
  • “Comments RSS” will subscribe you to all new comments posted by participants in the blog.

In order to successfully subscribe to RSS feeds, your browser needs to be set to read feeds. Follow these instructions for your particular browser type.

Internet Explorer 7
1. Under the Tools menu, select Internet Options. A pop-up tabbed dialogue box will appear.
2. Select the Content tab.
3. In the Feeds section of the Content tab, click on the Settings button.
4. Ensure you have “Turn on feed reading view” selected.
5. Click OK to exit from the Feed Settings box, and then OK to exit the Internet Options box.

Firefox 3
1. Under the Tools menu, select Options. A pop-up dialogue box will appear.
2. Select the Feeds icon at the top of the box.
3. Choose whichever feed setting you prefer, and click OK to exit the box where you’re done.

Safari
1. Under the Safari menu, select Preferences. A pop-up dialogue box will appear.
2. Select the RSS icon at the top of the box.
3. Choose whichever feed setting you prefer.
